These past few months have been hard to say the least. I’m thankful for the people that have been supporting me both emotionally and even financially in these past months. I don’t think I would be functioning if it weren’t for you all. For that, I thank you.
But as life tends to continually remind us, nothing is ever easy, and we need to come up with our own ways to get by.
As some may know, I started a Patreon account a few months ago in hopes to see if I can set up a means to create more and still make a little income. I haven’t been working on it for obvious reasons, but I feel that now may be a good time to pick up where I left off. But I can’t do it alone. I need some help.
I’ve posted some original freelance artwork recently that have got a decent amount of notes, which is a big deal when you’re known for mainly fan created content. I want people to know that I can do more then draw Don’t Starve, Portal, and other stuff like that. But went you’re drawing for others on a regular basis, sometimes the creative juices run dry and you need someone to help give you some suggestions.
I don’t know what Patreon’s policies are when it comes to fan created content of already existing characters and settings, but what I’m looking for right now is feedback and suggestions on what you guys want to see from me for my Patreon.
Right now I have it set up where you can donate just a $1 a month to support me, but I also want to set up good reward goals to offer as well! For people that donate $5 or more (either per month or as a one time donation), I would do something special, but I need to know what my supporters want.
I need your thoughts, your feedback, your suggestions.

I’ve got a few suggestions so far, and I’m liking them, but I just want to throw them out there and see what you guys think.
- Paint-chat sessions with supporters: This would be something I could do either bi-weekly or monthly, depending on my work load. This would be open to all supporters and it would be a fun thing to have as an activity. I could it on weekends.
- Tutorials: This idea, I believe, would work better as a goal rather then a reward. Not everyone will want to pay just to get a tutorial. I have thought about making them for my tumblr, but if it’s something I can have for my Patreon, then it would add something everyone can look forward to once a goal is met. I would do stuff like character designing, coloring, and whatever may come up from questions by supporters.
- Support by page/piece: I forgot this was an option; my work schedule can be nuts at times and I may not be able to shovel out the Patreon work I want. However, I can set it to pay by piece rather then a monthly donation. This would be more fair to supporters too, because they would only donate when I post artwork. I believe you can even set a limit to how much you want to donate in the event that I post more then what you can effort, which is awesome! It’s flexible! 
- NSFW Stuff?!: I’m not sure how that would work, as I know not everyone would want to see mature themed art. I am capable of it though, I just don’t do much of it, and it never sees the light of my tumblr. I would need more feedback on this one.
- Donating $5 or more: This would fall nicely under the ‘tell me what to draw and I’ll do it’ category. It would be a lot like commissions; depending on the donation the supporter would get to ask for a sketch, character design, model sheet, comic, etc. This sort of reward would be limited for now, so to not overload me.
